Agreed that wrestling has turned into a stinker. It was best back in the old days, then got bad during the Stone Cold era, then hit its last peak during The Rock era.
I started watching it again back when The Rock, D-Lo Brown, Bossman, and them were in some Federation. I loved The Rock, even though nobody else seemed to. Sure enough he eventually turned into a superstar. The WWF was sweet then, as it pushed itself into the mainstream with charisma.
I can't remember when I stopped watching, but it was around the time it turned into the WWE.. there were barely any matches, mostly boring storylines, and the matches themselves were so completely predictable (bad guy tries to cheat to win, someone interrupts, etc.). There was never any cool, fairly fought matches.
I see commercials for it sometime, and most of the main characters are horrible. "John Cena", "Batista", etc.. what kind of names are those? And I saw that they forced Chris Jericho, Edge, and them to not be from Canada anymore? Booooooooooo.

I saw raw last night, and they announced Edge from Toronto. But Jericho they say from NY, and Benoit in Atlanta I think. But they use "Born in" or "Now residing" or something like that. Not sure what that is all about...
But they did say Toronto for Edge last night. Maybe it was a slip...

I didn't notice they weren't saying Jericho and Benoit were from Canada anymore. That's so dumb. I bet the reason they are doing it is because they are faces and the main heel tag team (La Resistance - and they SUCK as wrestlers ) are from Canada. If they said they were from Canada also, then they might get bad heat for being from the same place as the bad tag team.
Note how three heels - Edge, Trish, and Christian - are all announced being from Canada. Stupid if you ask me. Who cares where they are from...if they are faces, people like them no matter where they are.
