Ravens | Talking Trade with Eagles for Simon
Mon, 4 Apr 2005 11:51:49 -0700
Jay Glazer reports on FOXSports.com that the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles have recently talked about a potential trade that would send Eagles DT Corey Simon to the Ravens in exchange for second and third round draft choices over the next two years. However, such a deal would be contingent upon Baltimore being able to work out a long-term contract extension with Simon, who is the Eagles' franchise player. Simon's agent has talked with the Ravens recently; they are looking for a deal that is on par with some of the top pass rushing defensive linemen in the league. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome has denied any deal is in place.
if we had simon to aide the switch to 4-3 our defense would be better than our superbowl year. i am weary of giving up 2nd and 3rd round picks over multiple years so hopefully something can be worked out but id love to see him in purple...
