The last line of the piece was great! "I never used steriods. I never had to"

That is a great line. Bo was great. I loved the Bo Knows commercials too.

Bo Jackson was the $#!+. I seriously doubted that man ever needed roids to help him. If he was on the juice he would have went 70/70 in baseball and had 3500 yds in football.

It's great to see an athlete finally put their money where their mouth is. Makes you wonder why Raffie Palmero isn't suing Canseco doesn't it?

I watched both games that essentially defined his career.

The night he took the raiders on his shoulders and pummled the Hawks in the Dome on Monday Night Football.

And the game where he busted his hip.

He very well could have been the most dynamic back in the history of the NFL.

He was the only Raider I didn't hate.

Man, couldn't have said it better Aww. Those two games were definitely what defined his career. I still remember that Monday night game v. your Seahawks and then "stud" LB Brian Bosworth. Bosworth was definitely an amazing talent coming from college but it was simply amazing how Bo made him look like a rag doll out there.

Just as sad was that game, I believe it was v. Cinncinatti. The hit looked like nothing more than perhaps your normal type with a possibility of his leg being overextended. Who knew that it would end such a brilliant career.

It's too bad that he wasn't able to amass more career stats as I think that he would be a shoe-in Hall of Famer like Sayers. I think he still may have an outside chance to get there.

That may be the best thing to describe him. That's the same way I felt.

Bo Jackson is my alltime favourite player. I totally think that the last line defines it all.

He was born into a famly of 10 children, into poverty, and with no father. He battled a speech impediment throughout his life, and go constantly teased for it. He proceeded to "lay a whoopin'" on anyone who made fun of him or his family. Not only was he an athlete, but he had to preserve through many tragedies growng up in the ghetto.

He's someone that can be admired for his off-field class and preservance as his onfield performance.

i used to love bo...i also wish his career could have been longer so we could have seen what kind of numbers he could have put up in a full career. another memory i have of him is while he was peaking on the royals...the home run he hit during the all star game.kinda a defining moment.

Who remembers this SCORE card. Double sport pads and a bat.

I am from LA and there used to be this building with this exact picture blown up on the entire side of a building leading into Hollywood. Crazy.

You can usually see his bulging biceps but the cafe limits cut them off before.
