BTW the offer was apparently a 2006 conditional late round draft pick.

He would certainly be an upgrade over Dayne as a backup. They are in a good position to gamble on a project player that could become Tiki's succesor.

If he bombs, drop him and you lost a late round pick... big deal.

Not a bad pickup, although I have my doubts as to whether Green will amount to anything in this league he is still young and worth a chance.

You have to scroll down to the "tidbits" part for the statement about Green.

Oh thanks. That was one long article to sift over, and I wasnt really in the mood to do so. ;-D

You should try Control+F...one of my favorite tools when searching the web. ;-D

I agree. I dont think much of Green, but he's gotta be better than Dayne, and filling out losses in the depth chart for a late round pick is always nice. The Giants are still screwed if Tiki goes down though.

I wouldn't mind picking up Willie in a late round when he's in a Giant's uniform.

Last year, almost everyone in all of fantasy football lowered Tiki in their rankings due to "The Future" Ron Dayne's ressurection. This year is the polar-opposite in that everyone is giving Tiki the respect he deserves, even though his solid fantasy production might actually be in real jeopardy this time around.

Besides the fact that Barber is turning 30 this season, and may have just had his career year.... can Green actually cut into his touches? Willie has a first round pedigree and semi-accomplished resume (considering he played for the Browns) and Coughlin may give him some PT in short yardage duties and around the goalline. It's not like Coughlin hasn't gone with a vulture in the past... Worse case scenario: Tiki could break 300 touches/1500 yards and see only 3 or 4 TDs.

<Jinx> Tiki Barber's stat sheets do look quasi-Eric Moulds.... odd year= off year?</Jinx>

yeah joshy, control + F is the shiznit. super duper. If you ever do a google search, and want to find the part that it bolds, just remember a few words then Ctrl F it.

Also useful for scanning the waiver wire for a specific guy.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks!
