Why on earth does everyone have Portis so much higher than Tiki?Portis is not in a situation where he can succeed,and while Tiki may have some question marks with Eli,the overall offensive talent on the Giants is better than Washington.More talent generally means more points.More points means closer games.Closer games means more opportunity to run.Edge:Tiki.

Tiki's issue is kinda in limbo...

He should be great....like most of last season and his actual career if you look at it. Him and Cmart aren't getting any respect. After their insane '04 seasons.

Obviously Eli scares the crap out of me and every other TIKI owner from '04.

If you put Kurt back in that offense i would certainly rank Tiki higher than my earlier rankings.

But he is cllimbing on my chart. Or at least has that UP^ arrow on my board.

How are people still so high on Portis? Until Gibbs puts together anything resembling an offense, Portis doesnt look to improve on his atrocious ypc.

Food for thought on those that think he easily goes above Chris Brown: Brian Westbrook averaged more yards per game than Portis, and he's lucky if anyone ranks him in the top 15.

Portis was a product of the Denver system, good RB, but I think everyone is still stuck on the whole "He can get 1500+ yards." Not likely until Washington gets a QB or another receiving threat.

Tiki is low because I think he may had had a career/fluke season. I expect him to come back down to earth. There in no CuMart because I think he is going to hit the wall a la Faulk. But thinking about this list, there are a lot of good running backs this year. I dont even have CuMart, Kevin Jones, Steven Jackson, Michael Pittman, Thomas Jones or Brian Westbrook on here. Ive decided to discredit my own rankings. Its far too hard and I would need to think a lot harder.

I agree with Undefeated and sixxgun. Tiki is ranked too low on most lists.

Total yards per year over the last 5 years.

2000 - 1725
2001 - 1442
2002 - 1983
2003 - 1677
2004 - 2096

Average - 1785

If you compare Tiki's yardage to someone like Edge you can see he is right there.

Edge averaged 1873 total yards per year for 5 years. I excluded 2001 when he only played 6 games.

Tiki is a top 10 fantasy back. His TD totals are erratic but the yardage is consistant.

Tiki will be a great value pick because he will drop below some guys that are inconsistant but have more hype.

I have him at 17.... He could end up being much better than that, but right now, I am a little wary about taking a risk on a guy that has never really held down a starter job for a full season... Couple that with the fact that Oakland was hell on Earth for RB's last year, and I think you're taking a pretty big risk taking Jordan before guys like Chris Brown, Kevin Jones, and Rudi Johnson....
