Why are Safeties worth so little in FF?

I'd never count them anywhere above 10 points in an actual league, but I actually think that they should be worth a lot.

I don't think I could be in a league where if the other team gets a 10-20 safety it swings the game against me or for me for that matter. To me even 6 points would be too much. I could see 4 though.

yeah I like the sound of 4 points for a safety...I may have to suggest it to our league commish... hell 5 points sounds good too ;-D

If we are talking defensive safeties here, most I think would occur during a sack so you should see the majority of safeties counting as 3 pts, 1 for the sack and 2 for the safety itself. That seems like a reasonable enough scoring event for me.

20 points for a safety? That is laughable. You could totally dominate a team and then they have the sucky Saints defense (sorry Joshy) get a lucky safety and erase the fact that their team that week was awful. That would be ridiculous....

...i'd say at least half of all safties are the RB getting pushed back.
