ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen reports NFL Draft prospect DT Luis Castillo (Northwestern) acknowledged in a letter to all of the NFL teams that he took steroids following the 2004 season. According to sources, he tested positive for steroid use at the NFL Combine. In his letter to NFL teams, Castillo said he was frustrated that an elbow injury was not healing properly and he turned to steroids in order to perform better at the combine. His college coach, Randy Walker, also sent a letter to teams, stating Castillo never tested positives for steroids while at Northwestern.
Hmm...if I ever get in a fight with my sister, not only can I laugh at her school's terrible football team, but I can also point out that their top prospect is a 'roider!

Kiper still thinks he'll go second round, and an ex-GM on Sportscenter said it will assure GMs that he'll always hold himself accountable for his actions - so who knows?
He was a borderline first rounder, mid-second rounder most likely. I bet he goes a lot later than that now, no one wants to be involved in all the steroid contreversy.

While I will agree it was a standup thing to do and fess up for taking the roids, that doesn't make it right, and he should still be held accountable and punished. Not sure how or what is fair at this point, but it would be setting a dangerous precedent letting this guy off scott free.
