I joined a BUDDY $$$ Keeper League 8 teams expanded to 12. One Keeper league. I ended up picking Ricky with my first pick.
Davis-Heinz-Gannon-Bucs(dumb-now but excellent defense)-Elam(dumb)almost took Portis but the guy sitting next to me convinced me other wise. I also had Garner(awesome season)
I came in third that year. Would have won the league in my first year if i took Portis in round 6. Stupid me. Live and Learn.

This also shows you how much the draft strategy has evolved. Today's top 25 would include 18-20 RBs. This top 25 had only 12. That's less than half! Blasphemy to those who say you should not draft RBs with your first 5 picks!

I drafted Garcia in the 1st (with the 1st overall pick LOL), total BUST. Holmes and Boston on the way back. Boston = BUST. Pretty much everyone else was a success. I found gold with Priest, Jamal, Moulds, and Ward.

hahaha, two years ago I took faulk with my first round pick in a dynasty league...given it was the last pick of the first round, but I'm still ashamed.
