Representing the 80's, we have AC/DC.
After easily defeating Iron Maiden in the first round, the boys from AC/DC went on to face Def Leppard. This appeared to be a good matchup, but AC/DC took it easily, 25-4. They then moved on to the finals of the 80s bracket, and faced Guns N Roses, and what a matchup it was. It couldn't be settled in regulation, and not even a single overtime. Two overtimes were needed, but eventually AC/DC emerged from the mess, as more AC/DC fans showed up at the polls, and became the champion of 80s rock bands.
And from the 90s side, we have Nirvana Nirvana might have had an easier semifinal matchup, but they definitely had a harder time getting to those semi-finals. In the first round, they faced Green Day, and that matchup turned out to be suprisingly close. Nirvana did pull it out, winning 14-10. Then came one of the best matchups in the tourney, Nirvana vs. the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Many were disappointed with RHCP's unfortunate seeding, and just couldn't vote for them over the powerhouse that is Nirvana. The RHCP still recieved their fair share of votes, but Nirvana narrowly escaped, 16-15. Nirvana then moved on to face the Smashing Pumpkins in the finals, which turned out to be a disappointing matchup. Nirvana easily one, 19-6, and now they are here, in the finals.
Get your votes in! The poll is only open for three days, so don't delay!

I changed up my vote this time and went with Nirvana...If ACDC needed two overtimes to put down Axl and gang, and one for Nirvana, maybe there is doubt there if they should win this whole friggin thing..
I don't understand what overtime accomplishes.. Just wait for the deciding vote like the fruit battle!
Get this match of the overrateds over with and on with the 60's and 70's! That bracket is going to be stacked.. I would most likely take the worst band from that matchup over these two.
The favourites!
Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Immigrant Song
The Beatles: Hey Jude, Let it Be, Yesterday
Rolling Stones: Satisfaction, Sympathy for the Devil, Give Me Shelter
Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust
The Who: My Generation, Baba O'Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again

Well, the polls are only open for 3 days for a regulation round, so once the time is over and its tied, you can't really wait for a deciding vote, so it goes into overtime.

Ohhhhh yeahhh. Pete Townshend has a huge nose.
I'm with Nilmerf on this. Lets get to the good stuff. Don't forget The Doors, Grateful Dead(biggest influence of psycadelic counter-culture), Pink Floyd(Dark side of the Moon was on Billboard top albulm list for like 18 YEARS!!!), and CSN&Y.
Would Elvis count on this list, or would you classify him as a '50's?
