NFL | NBC to Televise Sunday Night Football in 2006 - from

ESPNews reports Sunday Night Football, which currently airs on ESPN, will move to NBC in 2006.
ESPN loses Sunday Night, gains Monday Night. Guess who made out better on that deal.

espn made out better in this deal obviously.
however, for those of us without cable, we only get fox, abc, and cbs. niether espn nor nbc come in so we got royally screwed...

Dang, that stinks...in my area the only normal TV stations that come in with any clarity is NBC and FOX. The rest of them are tough to pick up with the antenna.
NBC will probably see an increase in their Sunday ratings, but it's still not as big as Monday Night Football. Let's see if Desperate Housewives can outdraw them (they probably will
).

Is Bob Costas still under contract with NBC?
oh no......
you have just brought to my attention that bob costas could be the SNF announcer on NBC.
i dont think i can handle him, he is annoying and has no background in football not to mention any real football knowledge.
i dont like him at all and i hope he doesnt get the gig...

I wonder if Mike Patrick will be looking to jump on the MNF gig or leave well enough alone what with his failing ticker.
Maybe retirement...

Its looking like 2006 will bring about a different television football environment, it should be interesting to see how well NBC covers the games.
