The Miami Herald reports that RB Ricky Williams is expected to return to the Dolphins this season, according to friends of his. If that happens, the chance of the team drafting quarterback Alex Smith with the No. 2 overall pick is pretty high.

I'm with you.Then I still won't draft him as one of my top two backs,just in case he takes another vacation,whether he wants it or it's league mandated.

1.) As others have said, I'll believe a Williams return when I see it!

2.) Last I heard (ESPN), A. Smith was favored by the 49ers as being the #1 selection in the draft and all that was left was if they could work out a contract with his agent. I don't know if it was all the mocks or what, but too many people are assuming Rodgers is the man at #1.

I think the 49ers are trying to force the Fins or Bucs to trade with them for their pick to grab Smith. I just can't see the 49ers passing on Rodgers.
