what option to take

bare with me this is a little long

I need another receiver for this week

8 man league/20 man roster/start 15
1 point 25 yrd pass/5pt pass TD
1 point 10 yrd rush/red/6pt TD

we have to start
2QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1(WR/TE), 2(WR/RB), 2 K, 2 DEF

I usually start 2 qb, 4 rb, 4 wr, 1 te, 2 def, 2 Kickers

Roster:
QB
Brooks/Couch

RB:my stable
McCallister/Taylor/Henry/Staley/A. Green/L. Smith/Duckett

WR
Moulds/Andre Davis/D Alexander/M Harrison/Rod Gardner

TE
Shockey

Kickers
J Hall/M Hollis

DEF
Bears/Bills/49ers

how to acquire another receiver
(Gardner/harrison have their bye weeks)

1. drop one DEF and grab a waiver wire pick(not much on the waivers for DEF)
avail= Hakim/j reed/M Jenkins/J Pathon/T Pinkston

2. drop Gardner for waiver wire pick

3. offer trade. give up duckett/Staley/Smith for quality WR

the easiest fix sounds like dropping a D for a scrub WR, but would it be worth trading a RB that is on my bench for a WR that can put up points. Who should I consider?

**also would you drop D Alexander for anyone I mentioned avail. on waivers.

Don't drop Gardner!

Trading a RB sounds good, you have enough depth but don't trade three for one, except for Moss maybe!

i agree with cwebb your best bet is to trade for a WR with one of your RB even if its not a great player you still will fill a whole you need to just dont trade all three RBs two at most depending on the offer on the table

sorry I didn't word that right

I would trade one of the 3

L Smith
Duckett or
Staley
for a quality receiver.

would a
Staley for H Ward
L Smith for Boston
Duckett for ??? since he is not the feature back probably couldn't get as much for him

be to much of a reach.....some other opinions?

Staley for Ward ;-D Hines is all they got right now,he's sure to be involved.Staley is even more in the shadow of Mcnabb now, limiting his #'s.L.Smith for Boston ;-D Lamar Smith is doing well, but Carolina is sure to falter,Boston is a steady producer who has had some subpar weeks against good corners.
