might as well throw this out there-
In Madden '04 (I'm not sure about '05) you can trade draft picks with the worst team in the league and usually get the better deal (like your #1+#5+#6 for their #1+#2) The worst team on week five is usually in at least the bottom 5 at the end of the season, so you end up getting just about any player you want in the draft. I don't really do it anymore, though, because it makes the game too easy.
I didn't really have much time to play full seasons - when I did play the game, it was against a friend in exhibition-mode. I did start a save that was just me simmin' through seasons and making roster moves. I built up quite the power-house... although it really wasn't that entertaining or satisfying.

Cool, I thought I was in the minority when I only played a few games here and there and just simulated seasons and took charge in the offseason.
I wonder if any of you guys also quit and reload if your team wins the Super Bowl in the first couple of years. Nothing to look forward to for next season if they do!
I usually deal all of my picks for face-players. Don't like having fake-guys on my roster. Hopefully I'll pick up the NCAA-Madden combo this year so the draft is more fun.
How do you guys do fantasy drafts? I've had it go around before with like 10th pick
1st round-Urlacher
2nd round-Portis
3rd round-Cpep or (sometimes) Brady
I just started a Franchise in '05 with the Bengals on All-Pro and have been dominating. I'm 7-0 and playing unbelievable on the defensive side of the ball, but the offense isn't what I would want it to be. It also doesn't help that I threw 8 INTs with Carson Palmer in the first 4 games (just getting back into the flow). After this season, I'm going to have to up the difficulty to All-Madden.
Oh yeah, Jon Kitna was bitching that I wasn't playing him, so I shipped him to Arizona for a 1st and a 2nd round pick, but who would have known the Cardinals would be 4-3 after 7 weeks?
Oh, I love Madden. I am the BIGGEST Madden freak. What sucks though is I can never play. My mom only lets me use the PC or play video games for 15 minutes a day when I have school. It really sucks. But I play a lot on weekends and over summer. I get tired of playing the computer though, so I haven't played a lot recently. I play a whole bunch at my friends' houses, and I haven't lost in the Madden tournaments I've had with my friends. Oh, and my mom won't let me get a network adapter either.
I did play at the Madden Challenge last year, won in the first round 21-0, but lost to a guy in the second round that was incredibly good, I think he went to the quarter-finals. I plan on going again this year.

I can't imagine trying to finish an RPG under those constraints!
Its insane I tell ya.....
I don't really play a lot of games until summer. And my parents wonder I am lazy in the summer
