Just read this:
Seattle adds depth at receiver with Pathon
April 21, 2005
KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- The Seattle Seahawks signed veteran receiver Jerome Pathon on Thursday, adding depth at the position less than a month after adding another veteran, Joe Jurevicius.
Pathon, a former University of Washington standout, has 3,335 career yards receiving with 15 touchdowns. He spent the past three seasons with New Orleans, making 33 starts with 121 receptions for 1,682 yards and nine TDs.
He spent the first four seasons of his career in Indianapolis after being the Colts' second-round draft pick, the 32nd overall selection in 1998.
16-teams - 1pt per 10yds rush/receive, 1 pt per 25 yds pass,No PPR QB(1): Orton,Leftwich,Leinart RB(2): Jones-Drew, Grant, Cadillac, L Washington, J Davis, Bernard Scott WR(2): R. White, V. Jackson TE(1): D. Clark, J. Finley K(1): Gould Def(1): BALT,GNB
If he can step it up just a little bit,K-Rob might actually get a push for his job.Which is good for the team, and for fantasy owners. The less K-Rob on the field, the easier it is to leave this bum alone and not waste another year saying"this is his year".This may give Hass a much needed boost as well.I'm not saying Pathon is a saviour, but anything can help at WR in Seattle.
Not a bad move by Seattle. Pathon will quickly add some veteran depth on the roster and should be able to work his was into the slot. Only question is, will Pathon revert back to his ball-dropping days of old now that he's a Seahawk?
Ok I dont understand management's decision on this one. We add another guy for depth purposes who is no better than any of our other receivers. Hell, now the depth chart looks like this:
Jackson
Bobbleson
Jurevicius
Engram
Pathon
Bannister
Are we using 5 WR sets this year or something?

dont be suprised to see some 4 or 5 WR sets, maybe some bunch plays.
this could really get some chemistry going between the WRs and hasselbeck to prepare them for SA's departure...

I'm wondering what the rest of you think about how Pathon going to the Seachickens affects Donte' Stallworth's value. I keep waiting for him to break out and actually show some consistency.
Do you think Pathon's departure marks the Saints' confidence that Donte' is finally ready to step up and take some pressure off of Joe Horn?
I'm in a 12 team unlimited keeper league and at this point I'm going to be keeping the following players.
QB K Collins
RB W McGahee, J Lewis, B Westbrook
WR C Johnson, S Smith, C Rogers
TE A Crumpler
K D Akers
D/ST Buffalo Bills
Is it worth it to take a chance on Stallworth with what would work out to be an 11th round draft pick?
I'd appreciate any and all comments and opinions!
