Great deal to move down in the first round and pick up a fourth rounder. Not so sure about the Chris Spencer pick. Should have probably gone Dan Cody.

Versitile C/G. I have no problems with it. Any DE or DT left on the board wouldn't help immediately.

We've done as much if not more with addressing our Defense as any team in the NFL via FA. And we've still got the rest of the draft left.

Dan Cody was the better player, but Spencer filled a need at either RG or C (depending on whether we signed a guard). I guess this move ensures Pork-Chop getting his shot at RT.

I thought perhaps Elton Brown would have been the way to go if they were thinking G, but Spencer is definitely more versatile. I think it would have made more sense to move even further down to get Spencer or, if he was taken, Baas.

It's not a pick I'm going to get unhappy about. But I do think more could have been done with it.

Did the Seahawks move up to take Lofu Tatupu, some guy I've never heard of? What the heck are they doing, they could have probably had this guy with 5th round pick. There were a ton of better linebackers on board, and other players in general.

They know something we don't. That's my only rationale.

Yeah, there must be something really negative about Crowder to pass on him in the 2nd.

Green with Orton, Orlovsky and McPherson still on the board is a mind-boggler too.

I read the FO had a tip Cincy was looking to draft that USC linebacker ahead of Seattle in the 2nd, thus the trade.

If it's good enough for Marvin Lewis, it's good enough for me.

Do some reading on Lofa Tatupu. You'll start to like him. He's a character guy that fits Ruskell's mold.
