Up here it's always been know as "Pop". Never heard it called anything else. But being on a penninsula is just about the same as being on an island, so we don't get much thru traffic, to hear it called anything else.
I'm from New Jersey, and I was very surprised a few months ago when I found out that soda was not a common term throughout the country. "Pop" and "coke" are very strange indeed, I almost never hear these terms used. Pop just sounds dumb, and I don't see how you can use Coke to describe all types of soda.

It's actually all types of cola,not soda.You would still call a 7-UP
a 7-UP, and a Grape Nehi a Grape Nehi.Just brown pop like Pepsi,RC and Coca-Cola are called cokes.

You'd be too busy recovering from a face to 2x4 meeting to swing any hammers.

''Pop'' is the term I use, used a lot in Madison, WI, where I am from. And we use bubbler a lot, unless the bubbler is warm, then it's a ''drinking fountain''.
Most people in SE Wisconsin, from what I've seen, say soda. I say soda, because saying pop sounds like you are 4 years old I have never heard a drinking fountain called a "bubbler".
