NCAA '06 Cover Announced...

EA announced today (at least, i think today) that they're putting Desmond Howard, in his famous heisman celebration, on the cover of NCAA '06.
I havn't been able to find the cover itself, but here is the picture of the celebration (best.celebration.ever)

Should make for a nice cover. Finally a Lion (of past, mind you) makes it on a cover of a videogame that isn't mocking them

The cover will probably look something like this. I'm not a big fan of it personally and will probably get a customized Drew Tate cover

Thats a nice pic. I dont mind the idea, this is at least better than using a player from the outgoing class. It never made sense to me to put a player on the cover who wasnt even in the game. This way it makes more sense, the pose is more important than the player. (no offense to Howard fans)

I'm not sure they exist anymore...

I'm excited... I think NCAA has outdone Madden for 2 years now, and I would expect a 3rd... I love playing it online... hopefully it won't disappoint

The reason they use someone from the outgoing class is because they are not allowed to use a player that is still an amateur athlete on the cover, because they would have to get paid for it. That is why they always have someone from the outgoing class because they are becoming professional.

It's not a bad pic, just looks old. I'm gonna get a custimzed one. Not sure who though... Maybe Pac-Man or Dan Orvlosky, or someone in college like Terry Caulchaun (RB UConn)
