Ex-Packer Darren Sharper rips Favre...

News
Vikings' safety Darren Sharper had harsh words for former teammate Brett Favre on Wednesday. Upon learning that the Packers' quarterback criticized teammate Javon Walker for not attending a recent minicamp, Sharper took his turn on the soapbox. "What's going on with the minicamps and whether or not Javon's there – Brett wasn't at minicamp so it really doesn't make a difference who is there," Sharper told Sirius Radio. "He wasn't there, so he shouldn't have anything to say about Javon not being there." Sharper and Favre were teammates for eight seasons in Green Bay.

Views
It's hard to argue with Shaper's statement, as Favre was criticizing a teammate for not attending a workout that he didn't even attend. That being said, Favre's primary concern seemed to be that Walker's holdout would extend into training camp, which is a possibility since the wideout is one of several clients that agent Drew Rosenhaus is encouraging to hold out for better contracts.

I think Favre did the right thing in terms of trying to reel in his WR. The Packers need some unity as they are on the decline in their division.

Bull Crap....!!!!

You should not be a hypocryte!

Just like everyone in the world knows or should know.

Brett Favre gets a ton of free passes because of who he is.

He was a drunk. Not anymore. Had some sort of family abuse problem. And what happened. Water under the bridge.

If he were Barry Bonds watch out. They are going to call the National guard on him.

Its a double standard.

Why didn't anyone else report Favre wasn't in camp. Criticizing Javon for somthing he would not even do.

Yes he does get a free pass because of who he is. He's EARNED it. Something the Javon Walkers of the world need to realize. How many mini-camps has Brett attended in his career? How many has Walker been to? How many times has Walker been in the Pro Bowl, the Super Bowl or been compared to the greatest players of all time at his position? God! You've got me defending Brett Favre!

Coach Sherman told Favre to stay home with his family, he's seen enough minicamps.

Not to mention Favre was with his wife who has cancer instead of crying for more money.

I think Favre has a pretty good reason for not being at minicamp. Family has a bit more priority over money and contracts. At least Sharper is no longer a Packer, else they would have more internal drama to deal with.

Everyones missing the real point of what Favre was trying to say. I dont think it has alot to do with him missing the mini-camp. Its that Javon is saying he will holdout. And that his agent tells him that his teamates would not care. A guy has a good year and thinks he's GOD. Greed will be the destruction of the world. With all that being said, if I could be in the NFL I would be yelling sHOW ME THE MONEY. So Im no better than the next.
