This one for the lightweight title. It was on Showtime last night. Had my boxing friends over and had a little party for the fight. Man, this fight was unbelievable. If there happens to be a replay of this fight (there usually is) and you have showtime, I would highly recomend you checking this one out.

I was doing my best to avoid hearing the result of this fight so I could watch the replay. I guess I kinda brought it on myself by reading this thread though.

Yeah, Jay and I were sort of watching at the same time typing back and forth.
That dude that won had a very mellow corner man...I don't think I've seen a more calm coach for any fight I've ever watched. His guy had taken some serious shots and had a colony of mice under his eyes...I don't know how he could even see!
Once he got jacked up, I figured he was in trouble. The second time he went down I yelled, "DONE!" Then...well, you know!
The best part was the mellow coach putting in his mouthpiece for the second time and saying to him, "You know, you have to get inside on him NOW." I guess he paid attention.

I'm glad a few of you were able to see the replay. I've been waiting for these two to fight for a while. It was supposed to happen last December, but problems in the Corrales camp kept the fight from happening. This is one of those fights where you end up respecting the Hell out of both fighters for showing such intestinal fortitude. Next week: Winky Wright vs. Felix Trinidad
