May 10, 2005 — Most people don't win $1 million in their lifetimes. You're about to meet a woman who has hit $1 million slot machine jackpots twice, on the same slot machine.
The song goes: "Luck; be a lady tonight!" Luck sure seems to have followed one lady from Boulder City, Nevada.

Jo Ann Argyris pulled off what many gambling experts say is a trillion-to-one shot. She hit a million dollar jackpot, twice, on the same slot machine.

Argyris won a million dollar jackpot on a slot machine here Boulder Pass earlier this week. She did the same thing on the same machine, less than a year ago.

Apparently the EEPROM chip in this slot machine is set to win a lot of the time, and she probably knows this...that's why she goes on the same machine.

Actually, I doubt it is the same machine for sure unless they match it up with the serial codes inside. She may have just been sitting in the same spot instead. But, if it's the same machine, I'm thinking the Nevada State Gambling Commission is going to put that EEPROM chip out of the reach of any casinos for a long, long time.
