Here's something interesting I learned today:

Quoting my own work(grammar is terrible hehe)

There was three (3) men, they each paid $10 each for a total of $30 for a hotel room. They got their room and the Hotel clerk says wait a second I overcharged them so he gives the Bellhop $5 to give the 3 men, so he's figuring out a way to detribute the $5 evenly so he puts $2 in his pocket and gives each of the three men a dollar back so they paid $9 each, what's $9 x 3 + $2? what happened to the other dollar?

Simple:

There's 30 -5 = 25 dollars in the register.
There's 2 dollars in the belhop's pocket.

Those two numbers are the 27 dollars the men paid. You can't include the 3 dollars they were given back as part of the payment. so its really:

What's 25 + 2 + 3 = 30. No dollars missing.
