I have Sirius. I don't know how it compares to XM, but it is very good. I have completly forgotten about commercials now. There are 1 or 2 commercials every hour. It has a great sellection of rock music (17 channels of rock) from classic rock, jam bands, hard rock, punk rock, hair bands, heavy metal, etc. They also have home and away broadcasts from every football game from the local crew and a number of NBA games. It doesn't help me much, because I'm always watching the game on TV. Some of the other good channels are ESPN, ESPN News, NFL Channel, Maxim, Raw Dog Comedy, and Sirius Right (for conservatives like me. Ya!)

I have Sirius satellite radio, and it is AWESOME. Tons of classic rock channels, as well as a bunch of channels for NFL games.

I'd say sirius is the way to go.

I was having to make this decision over Christmasn, and I went with Sirius. Much better NFL coverage, equal or better music stations, and Howard Stern coming on January 1, 2006.

I highly recommend Sirius; haven't had any problems.

I bought XM before the NFL or Stern signed on with Sirius. I will be making the change when Stern jumps ship in a few months. It really comes down to what programming you like. XM has baseball exclusive and Sirius, the NFL.

My understanding is that XM is cheaper but has pay services to buy if wanted whereas Sirius is a flat fee for all. I know you can pre-buy XM years in advance and drop it to $7/month if not cheaper.
