Which of these three defenses?

I'm in a ten team H2H and need to take a second defense. I already have Carolina, but most of the best Ds are taken. Green Bay, Atlanta, and New England are who I've narrowed it down to. Which of these three under standard Yahoo defensive scoring should I take?

NE
Atlanta

NE and Atlanta are close to the same to me.

Of the three, Green Bay and Atlanta are comparable in last years stats. NE lags a little behind. You couple that with the fact that the Atlanta D didn't come on till that last half of the season makes Atlanta fairly attractive. You have to say Green Bay is equally attractive in their own way. Its a judgement call between the two to me. I would take Atlanta ... but why don't you just play Carolina and pick up another RB instead? What RB's are available in the dead pool? Does your league require 2 D's?

Yes, the league has a maximum number at each position. I could go with one defense, but I couldn't fill that spot out at another position. So unless I want to waste a pick, I need to take two.

Although GB was rittled with injury last season, and this year isn't starting out very well in that department either... I think NE will suprise this year, they made some great off-season additions and just might get back to the SB this season

None are bad options. I've seen Atlanta listed as a top 4 D at quite a few sites. I'd take them, especially with Vick out. They feel they need to make their mark to get the team to the next level, not Vick - and that was before the injury. I think they'll start off strong with Vick now out. That D wants to take the spotlight, and with Brooking running the show, they should crush people.

GB scares me because they lost Gilbert, and Vonnie in the offseason. Teams are going to run on them all day, or try to. That Barnett (?) guy or whoever they drafted (reach!) is going to be a big key on how the D performs. They're the Packers, so they always manage a solid workman like effort on D. You get KGB for sacks, and Sharper and Co. for picks.

I look at NE's D as being a team that shuts down the pass primarily. They aren't a truly, dominant unit with the big MLB running things like Ray Lewis or Urlacher, or Brooking.
