This isn't new. From the Nov 11th 2003 Seattle Times about a resturant in Seattle that was doing the same thing.

I've had sushi at Morimoto's (Iron Chef restaurant)...I didn't think it was that bad. Having some on top of a naked chick might make it even easier to chow down on. Boo to China on that one! :-)

i can remember at least 2 surreal life seasons where the people ate sushi off naked models, the last one they ate off adrianne curry

Okay, I can understand the hygiene aspect of it....sort of (you mean to say these women don't wash?). But to say it's an infringement of women's rights is moronic. It's an infringement of their rights by not letting them do what they want. It's not as if the women were sushi slaves or anything. Governments sure are retarded at times.

Wow.

Well, I cant help but be shocked something like that was said in all seriousness in a land where the freedom to have offspring is significantly hindered. The government allows one or two (I cant remember exactly) children per couple, and since Boys are much more important in their culture it is not unheard of to see female children abandoned or worse in China.

China - the country that continues to lead the world in Human Rights Violations - now thinks that eating sushi off of women is degrading to them.
