I noticed a discrepancy here, though....

From the birthdate listed on his Xanga site (3/29/86), he was 19 -- not 18. Perhaps this is a simple mistake by the Newsday reporter, however is there any possibility that this whole scenario isn't totally true? I agree with everyone else that it is freakishly odd how the timing worked out. Major coincidence or fraud?

I was thinking that was a possibility when I read the Xanga. If he was really nervous about the man, then why would he be posting on his Xanga?

I was thinking that was a possibility when I read the Xanga. If he was really nervous about the man, then why would he be posting on his Xanga?

He didn't seem *really* nervous by the post - just slightly apprehensive. And since it sounds like hew as alone in a room to himself, I think it would be human instinct to get online and try to access a community to feel a false sense of security, if you get what I'm saying. I think he was just trying to take his mind off the guy in his house and put his feelings out for people to see.
