Resign LB Cooper

SAN DIEGO (Ticker) - The San Diego Chargers on Friday re-signed reserve linebacker Stephen Cooper, who was an exclusive rights free agent, to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cooper, who turns 26 in June, played in 32 games with the Chargers in the last two seasons, registering 33 tackles.

i havent heared much about this guy, He migfht be good insurance, but i dont erally see him making any significant impact on the field. Our LB core is pretty solid, so he might be a nice little backup.

Cooper doesn't play often. I'll always remember the humongous he hit he had in I believe the first game of the season two years ago. Don't remember who he hit or what the situation was, but he absolutely clobbered the guy.

He also had a nice tip to interception last season and seems to play with a lot of intensity...
