if this is correct then i think you got 10 ripcord. now for the name and positions,scoring, our own forum, draft date etc. i will be gone from 6-11 till 6-18th for camp/fishing. i'll be looking forward to know whats set up and when we get going. johnboy

vacation times- first three weeks of july camp/summer school program.

i am extremely active wheni am around a computer and i have all of june and august to be active and i am open to whatever type of draft, but either a slow draft in this cafe or a live draft in yahoo is prefable.

I would prefer a live yahoo draft. Depending on the time limit of a slow draft, that could present some problems for me, as my internet time is limited.

As for the rules and rosters, I'm fine with just about anything as long as it does't get too weird or insanely complicated.

And I like the idea of including IDP's, but it's nowhere near a deal-breaker for me. As long as everyone understands their value in relation to other players, we shouldn't run into the idiotic problems that redfox did.

Has anyone seen Ripcord anywhere? I did not know if he is going to run the show or if we need to find someone to commish this thing. Anyone have an idea? Anyone want to volunteer?

in 2 hours i head out for camping till next fri night.(june 17) if you guys agree on everything i could set up league in yahoo with our password and set a date for early aug maybe a saturday night or afternoon. then everyone should be ready if the time is good. see in a week take care and the rules/scoring is fine as long as i know what it is before we start.

First, we need to decide league name, are we using IDP, when are the playoffs, how many on a roster, how many to start, etc.

Does someone want to chime in?

I vote no IDP. I vote 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1DEF. I would be willing to go to a flex position instead of TE if you want. Roster to be whatever. We just need to consider if we are a dynasty league we may want to keep a few extra spots for rookies to develop into.

I obviously vote for IDP. On the other side of the ball, I say keep it simple with DB's suggestions with, I hope, an additional spot for that all-important kicker. As for letting rookies develop, that's what an ample number of bench positions is for, though I would be open to 1 flex position, but not at the loss of a TE spot.

As for the name, with DB and Ripcord, perhaps we should be "The Airborne Cafe League". Or maybe something to do with parachutes. Or something, you know, not lame.

Is this league going to get started soon? I say live yahoo draft since everyone is leaving. I want IDP. The point system is no nig deal. I say a 25 man roster.
