Rockstar has revealed further details of its upcoming game adaptation of the 1979 cult-classic, The Warriors. The game will be beat-em-up in the style of GTA (huge, open levels). We’re thinking a River City Ransom for the 21st Century—Rockstar threw the names “Double Dragon” & “Streets of Rage” into its description. That’s legacy…

Rockstar has promised to stay faithful to the movie’s plot, but will also include a prequel in the game’s story.

Guess I'm alone here. If this game is anywhere close in quality to San Andreas then it's gonna kick ass, being based on this movie only makes it sweeter for me.

this game does look really sweet. i loved the movie, and i love gta, so hopefully i'll be into this as well.

the game was on the cover of game informer magazine a month or two ago, and they had a monster article on it. i could probably find some stuff in there about the game and post it if anyone's interested.


looks like it'll be a more fighter style GTA based on the movie, which would be totally sweet. though the 'zine said that unlike the movie, which took place entirely in one night, the game will take place over a more lengthy period of time.. looks promising, we'll see....

I haven't seen the movie, but the ame looks pretty good. Worth a rent at least I'll eventually try it out after it comes out...

If you found anything good I would check it out. I wonder if they're gonna have that radio lady on there, didn't hear her on the trailer. I guess they would, I think she's the same lady that did Carmen Sandiego, not sure.
