Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the four-year contract extension signed by S Mike Minter with the Carolina Panthers was valued at $10 million. Minter received $5.2 million in signing, roster and option bonuses. He was scheduled to have a base salary of $4 million. The way this contract is structured, the Panthers will have a significant cap savings from the $5.943 million cap number they currently have on the books.
