Looks like Funyon blew this one too. The best part of that read is the reader feedback at the bottom. ;-D

I love it how all these so-called "fantasy experts" are a good part of the time dumber than the average member here.

Yeah there are some eye catching things there..

Jackson moving from 24 to 20 despite the news this week that Faulk may play more of a role than previously thought through me for a loop.

TO at 29 is silly...

JJ over KJ personally I disagree with...

And Faulk sneaks in at #95 too...

TO was definitely way out of place. i also dont really like the idea of having 3 non RBs in the top 10.

This is just more evidence that Brandon Funston, like his CBS-sportsline counterpart Pete Prisco, is a complete idiot.

Daunte Culpepper the #8 fantasy player :-? interesting......

Funston's first Big Board of 2008 is up:

The Big Board takes into consideration past returns, current performance and expected future gains in determining who should be included among the top 50 fantasy football players. Essentially, the Big Board is a cheat sheet designed for a fantasy owner who is planning to participate in a draft today. Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football default scoring settings are used as the baseline for the Big Board, which is updated on a regular basis.

Big Board 50: Football
Rank Player Stock Pvs.
1 LaDainian Tomlinson, SD, RB No 30+ TDs repeat, but did acheive 15+ TDs 7th straight year 1
2 Adrian Peterson, Min, RB Has it all: talent, O-line, resiliency to bounce back from LCL injury 2
3 Brian Westbrook, Phi, RB Perhaps the toughest RB in the league to gameplan for 3
4 Joseph Addai, Ind, RB Out like lamb in '07, but dynamic talent playing for juggernaut 4
5 Steven Jackson, StL, RB Al Saunders OC hire is a positive for S-Jax 5
6 Tom Brady, NE, QB Moss' return keeps TD pass expectations at 35+ 6
7 Larry Johnson, KC, RB LJ says foot 100% and he's excited about new OC Chan Gailey 8
8 Randy Moss, NE, WR Cemented spot in 1st Round be re-upping with NE 7
9 Clinton Portis, Was, RB WAS expected to lean on Portis more at expense of Betts 11
10 Frank Gore, SF, RB Stating the obvious: Martz says Gore the centerpiece of offense 10
11 Terrell Owens, Dal, WR Competitive nature keeps age at bay (28 TDs past 31) 9
12 Marshawn Lynch, Buf, RB Expected to add 3rd-down duties to workload in '08 13
13 Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB Bradshaw will provide change of pace in '08, but Jacobs still the man 12
14 Willis McGahee, Bal, RB Better than I expected -- 7-game TD streak very impressive 15
15 Andre Johnson, Hou, WR Post-Carr bliss: Only Moss, TO averaged more fantasy ppg at WR 16
16 Peyton Manning, Ind, QB Yawn: Just another 4,000-yard, 30+ TD pass season 18
17 Tony Romo, Dal, QB Has risen to elite QB status w/ 55 TD passes in past 29 games 14
18 Reggie Wayne, Ind, WR As Manning's clear go-to guy now, one of surest things at WR 17
19 Maurice Jones-Drew, Jac, RB Poised to be next Westbrook whenever age/injury catches Taylor 21
20 Braylon Edwards, Cle, WR Anderson return, Stallworth addition positive developments 19
21 Jamal Lewis, Cle, RB Behind emerging O-line, dominated in 2nd half of '07 20
22 Willie Parker, Pit, RB 2 TDs on 344 touches was major disappointment 22
23 Ryan Grant, GB, RB Top backfield role is his after 5 100-yard games, 8 TDs in final 10 23
24 Marion Barber, Dal, RB Depending on how draft goes, could finally be fully featured in '08 24
25 Ronnie Brown, Mia, RB ACL recovery going well and he's expected to be in camp on time 27
26 T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cin,WR Has passed Ocho Cinco as Cincy's go-to WR 25
27 Marques Colston, NO, WR Brees, Colston shaping up as one of next great QB/WR combos 26
28 Larry Fitzgerald, Ari, WR For a WR, was ridiculously consistent in '07 28
29 Steve Smith, Car, WR Cruel fate in '07 w/ QB situation -- Needs strong Delhomme return 29
30 Brandon Marshall, Den, WR Came into own down the stretch -- 1 of 6 WRs to catch 100+ balls 32
31 Reggie Bush, NO, RB '07 showed that he's not best-suited as a solo act in NO backfield 33
32 Plaxico Burress, NYG, WR Maturing Eli has established tight connection w/ Plax 38
33 LenDale White, TEN, RB With Young at QB, TEN likely to always be very run-heavy 34
34 Greg Jennings, GB, WR Have to consider loss of Favre a downgrade for Jennings 31
35 Edgerrin James, Ari, RB There's a chance he could be a cap casualty 30
36 Torry Holt, StL, WR 8 straight 1,000-yard seasons, but age, health starting to be factors 37
37 Wes Welker, NE, WR Brady's glue-guy tied Housh for reception lead (112) 41
38 Earnest Graham, TB, RB Big '07 splash, and he's set to be Bucs' man again in '08 -
39 Antonio Gates, SD, TE Toe surgery will take 4-6 months for recovery 35
40 Chad Johnson, Cin, WR At point where he's becoming more trouble than he's worth in Cincy 40
41 Drew Brees, NO, QB In 2 seasons in NOLA, averaged 27 TD passes, 4,426 pass yards 36
42 Jason Witten, Dal, TE Ram-Man ended Gates' 3-year run as top fantasy TE 39
43 Laurence Maroney, NE, RB 98 rush ypg, 7 TDs in final 6 games (including postseason) 47
44 Carson Palmer, Cin, QB '07 was big disappointment, but I expect him to rebound 43
45 Roddy White, Atl, WR 83 catches, 1,202 yds a miracle given who was throwing him the ball 44
46 Michael Turner, Atl, RB Expect more thunder (Turner) than lightning (Norwood) -
47 Santonio Holmes, Pit, WR Finished No. 11 among WRs in fantasy points per game 45
48 Anquan Boldin, Ari, WR Injury-marred '07 campaign, but he got final word (3 TDs in final 2) 48
49 Ben Roethlisberger, Pit, QB More TD passes (32 to 31) and fewer INTs (11 to 14) than Peyton 49
50 Tony Gonzalez, KC, TE In year of TE, led position in catches (99), yards (1,172) 50
