Keeper league future drafts question

Postby oukurt » Sun Jun 12, 2005 6:08 am

I plan on using the reverse order of the previous season for future college drafts, but I am not 100 % on what the draft order for the veteran draft should be.
Anyone in a similar type league feel free to let me know how your draft order works.

Reverse order of the regular season finish from the prior season, but as a serpentine draft. This gives the worst teams the initial advantage by getting the best overall players and doesn't screw the top teams over.

Use a serpentine draft but instead of having the worst teams pick first in odd rounds and last in even rounds, let them determine where they want to pick in the draft

Thats an interesting idea Vick 4 Mayor, but I dont think I would be able to utitlize it. If you dont have too many teams and/or all your owners are great about getting backt o you in the offseason it sounds swell. We just go with 16 reverse finishing order in my league tho

NFL style IMO gives a bigger parity in the league, but not so much balance. You get the top team with a crap team, and the worst tam with the top tea 3 times out of 4...

So would you guys recommend the college draft in July be a NFL style draft order (reverse of the previous season) and that the veteran draft in August should be serpentine (also reverse of previous season)?

Idea for letting owners choose their spots is interesting.
