Floyd to reunite

Postby mutantseabass » Sun Jun 12, 2005 8:38 pm

Even though most of you guys are younger, everyone has to like Floyd. IM hopin that this will be some sort of live feed from tv or internet. ;-D I wish it was a tour, but this is a start at least.

I assume you mean Pink Floyd. I thought "Floyd" was some sort of T.V. animal star, probably a horse or dog, in the 70s.

I understand now.

That would be great if it sparked something in them and motivated them to go out on tour. Waters back with Gilmour... don't even let me dream about a new studio album. :)

Wow, I'm so pumped for this. Hopefully it leads to other things, though with their history I don't have my hopes up.

Still good news, as I'm a HUGE floyd fan.

God, I pay out my ears to see them play. I got into them right after Division Bell came out, but never got to see them in concert. Easily on the top of my "have to see before I die" list. ;-D

I think it's bound to be dissapointing, but I'm still going to do everything I can to catch this. It would be intense to see them live.

I saw the Ramones on their final tour, and caught the Sex Pistols on their reunion tour, and neither were even close to what they used to be. I know the music styles are vastly different, and the energy levels differ, but I am still apprehensive about any classic band reforming for a quick show or small tour.

I saw Floyd back in 95 or 96 when they last toured. I was a Junior in High School. They played at the Silver Dome. They did put on a hell of a show. They played some of their new songs but for most of the time they played all old songs. I believe Rusted Root opened for them.

How much do you think the tickets would go for? The stones cheapest ticket in Detroit is $150. I am sure floyd would draw close to the same amount.
