Lord Of The Rings VS. Star Wars

I was just wondering hwat all the cafe'rs think is better now that both of the epics are all done.

I'd say Lord of the Rings just because it has 3 SOLID movies which ar ALL great. Star wars are good but still i didnt think it ended on as good as a note as of Lord Of The Rings.

Sure they finished a bit softer with the last three movies than I had hoped for, but the original three are complete classics that are owned by just about everyone methinks. Great series

I like Star Wars, but wasn't around when they were "it."

Dialogue, plot and story wise, sorry guys, but LotR destroys Star Wars. Star Wars is hardly the king of good dialogue. Especially the last 3. But all the LotR movies are very good.

Star Wars iself is better than all the LOTR movies combined. As a series, I would give the edge to LOTR, but as a stand alone movie, Star Wars made movies what they are today...mega-million blockbusters. They paved the way for trilogies such as the Matrix and LOTR, much like the Beatles opened the doors for bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Original Star Wars ground breaking movie blows away most any other sci fi movie and it was made 30 yrs ago!!

However, Jar jar binks and star wars 1 and 2 blew chunks and ruined the second series.

I havent seen 3 yet but I hear its good. All in Star Wars beats LOTR and ive been to each of the LOTR movies, great stuff but not a SW beater.

id have to say LOTR, star wars is a classic trilogy, but the LOTR trilogy is just amazing, plus i think the story line is better in LOTR. now if they can just do a prequel with the hobbit we'll have a better comparison
