Don't care what any of you all say, but I do like the rock greats, my fav. is prolly AC/DC. I have a question what kind of music does your son listen to?
I'm with Tiki on this one, rap owns all. I assume he's talking like:
Biggie Big Daddy Kane Big L Rakim Tupac Jay-Z Nas KRS-One and BDP De La Soul Run DMC Public Enemy
and all that good stuff.
You forgot about Edit: NWA.

you guys ever listen to mos def(10th grade english we did a poetry unit on him), aesop rock, or jedi mind tricks? i dont listen to a lot of rap but im listenin to those guys a lot of times, biggie too, big man could certainly rap.
but, like jumpman said, i guess its about taste, but rock musicians just seem to be the superior to me, especially guitarists. when i sit down and listen to someone wail on the guitar like jimmy page or jimi hendrix(for a modern guy tom morello is one of my favorites) i just cant believe that someone can make music like that, it blows my mind.

Mos Def - Umi Says
Jedi Mind Tricks - Animal Rap
Aesop Rock - Daylight

I'd reckon most anything off of Black On Both Sides would be disappointment-free.

Biggie, Tupac, Dre, Snoop, Wu-Tang Clan, NWA, Eazy-E, Pete Rock, Rakim, Jay-Z, Run DMC, De la Soul, Public enemy, Big L,Nas are the greats. Mos Def is a great rapper has potential to be great him and Talin Kweli AKA Black Star are great. Jedi Mind tricks are good. I am becoming a huge fan of MF doom. His new CD with Mad Lib Madvilliany is trippy at points gangsta at points great CD. Viktor Vaghn Vaudville is another one of his CDs it's great as well is even has a love song that is actuallly good. I would say more but I am tired and gonig to bed but I'll be back!
