Vegas is great, one of my favorite places. I also like to gamble so I guess that may be why. I have only been 3 times , wish I had gone more though. I can't wait for the next trip though. It all depends on what you like to do. I recommend seeing a show. The first time I went we didn't go but the last 2 I did and it was well worth it. I saw, Penn and Teller and Tony and Tina's Wedding. Since this is your first trip, I also recommend trying to visit as many of the casinos as possible. I know they may all seem the same (slots, blackjack, poker), but they each have their own little subtleties (sp). I am a poker player, but when I go to Vegas I play a lot of black jack. I tend to play at the smaller casinos, one of my favs is Barbary Coast. One more thing, make sure to go downtown, I didn't go the last time and reget it. Check out the light show at night.
Thats all that I can think of right now. Let me know if you have any other questions, I will try to help you out.
It will be this coming September (2006). It should probably be on the friday of Sept 6th(ish). I don't have a calender in front of me so I am not sure of the exact date, and I am only going on when last year's was scheduled. It is just after the first Thursday Kickoff game (strange, but I can't argue with FREE!!) I don't plan on missing the KOTJ draft - that's my favorite part!!
I'm not too much of a gambler. I enjoy a bit of Blackjack, but I don't really play much poker (not that I don't like it, just never get the chance). I prefer Blackjack over say, the slots because of their payouts, but I have only been to a Casino a couple of times in the last five years. I do plan on spending some time in the Casino's and checking out several of them though.
I will most likely be taking the wife and kids (gives me free reign with having to spend time on football (studying!! ) if she gets a trip out of it , although there is a chance that I may be going with a few buddies. Plans and Hotel accomodations will change accordingly.
Yeah, the sleeping patterns are a little bit of a problem. You guys are right on, a smile from your kids is the best feeling I can't wait for the next day to see what they come up with.

Just curious, was there a factor in selecting the name, like a meaning behind it, or was it just based on how much you liked it? I personally like the name
No real reason besides just liking it. I never liked or wanted to have all my kids with a connection in their names, like all starting with J (this is how my wifes siblings are - Jill, Jeff, Jenny) or something like that. But it kinda happened anyway, our other son is Brendan, so, we have the -an ending for both. Not intential but may be taken that way by some.
