JJ Stokes?

well, i was just thinking about the fact that jimmy smith was going to be out for a while. doesn't that make stokes the #1?

this might be a good gamble. you can bet that stokes will try to make the most of this opportunity, and to establish a strong relationship with brunell...i'd say that's a good reason to believe that the pattern would continue through the rest of the season--even when jimmy smith comes back.

what's the consensus on jj stokes? the 49ers never threw him the ball, so...this may be his time to shine!?

I'm not too high on Stokes. He seemed to disappear in SF. He had a ton of opportunities,especially with TO getting doubled. Last year Streets caught over 70 passes as the number 3 and Stokes was no where to be found. Maybe this is the start he needs. I'd put him around 50-55 in my WR rankings.
