Jaguars | Decision Day Soon for F. Taylor
Wed, 22 Jun 2005 08:55:25 -0700
Mike Freeman, of the Florida Times-Union, reports the day when a decision has to be made about Jacksonville Jaguars RB Fred Taylor (knee) and his injured knee is coming soon. Taylor continues to run on the sidelines while his teammates practice. Taylor's work ethic and professionalism are unquestioned. In the next two to four weeks, Taylor's rehab will drastically intensify. The Jaguars plan calls for Taylor to do extensive cutting, sprinting and other tests designed to probe the true strength of the knee. The team will know soon if Taylor can actually play or not this coming season. "Now," head coach Jack Del Rio told Freeman Tuesday, June 21, "we will see what Fred's status truly is." Del Rio still believes that Taylor will be ready for training camp and the season.
Sounds like the rubber is going to meet the road here shortly. Del Rio from what I've heard has mainted Fred will be ready to start the season.
Jaguars | Law to Visit
Wed, 22 Jun 2005 11:47:28 -0700
Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports free agent CB Ty Law (Patriots) will fly to Jacksonville Wednesday evening, June 22, to visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will take a physical exam and workout for the team tomorrow morning. "We want to see where he is. We're going to see where he is physically. If he was healthy, we would have interest," head coach Jack Del Rio said. It's unlikely the Jaguars would be willing to spend at a high level for Law, as the team remains impressed with young talent it has competing for the starting right cornerback job.
Law would make a nice fit in JAX. This would definitely solidify that secondary.
