So is Yahoo the best?

Postby georgiadawg » Thu Jun 23, 2005 8:35 am

Last year was only my third year in fantasy land so I still feel relatively new to all this compared to most in the cafe. All three football seasons (as well as our baseball and basketball leagues) have been done thorugh Yahoo. There was another thread discussing the new free option at nfl.com and it got me wondering what other websites are out there and if Yahoo is indeed the best.

Well I don't know if Yahoo is the best, but I will always play on it because it is so convenient. It is so easy to have Fantasy Football, Baseball, and Basketball on the same site. Also, you can do NFL Pick'em and March Madness on Yahoo too. That's why I always go back.

i dont like yahoo all that much. I especially dont like it because they do not have real time scoring. I believe the new nfl.com leagues have real time scoring. Just my 2 cents.

I don't even like Yahoo, so I would say it is not anywhere near the best. Take a look out there, there are a lot of great options. It all comes down to what your preferences are (ease, visually appealing, management options, etc.), and how much you are willing to spend. If FREE is still what you are after, it looks like there will be two other (better) options out there this year. "NFL.com", and "ESPN.com"

Happy shopping!

No Way do I believe the NFL.Com will be better than Yahoo.................

If you look at the FAQ, it's gonna offer almost NO Customization..........Just a default league with Live Scoring.........and as for Espn, you wont get Free Live Scoring with them either so good luck with them and their crappier "better" Free Service.

Too me if im playing in a money league I wont use Yahoo. They say its free but you still have to pay for the Stattracker. By the time every team purchases it, you could take that money and put it into a better site.

Nice to hear it's going to be free this year. I like it better than yahoo. I enjoy the live scoring that it offers.
