State prosecutors in Florida filed a single count of aggravated assault with a firearm on Redskins' safety Sean Taylor on Friday morning. His trial date has been set for September 12, one day after the team is scheduled to open its season. Taylor's attorney told the Associated Press on Thursday that his client hoped to avoid charges after meeting with prosecutors and turning in a polygraph test that allegedly clears him of wrongdoing. However, polygraph tests are rarely admissible in court, and prosecutors opted to follow through with their case.

seems he'll at least get to play week 1 and apparently he passed a lie detector test, too bad they arent admissable.

I can see some sort of plea bargain with some community service in the works. I doubt he misses any time because of this.
