If youre not gaming, almost any card will do the job, I would set a budget and work from there. Or head to your local PC store and see what cards they have within your desired budget range.

As mentioned, if you're not a gamer, I'd get on eBay and find a nice NVIDIA 64mb gts2 or gts3 made by Hercules.
I still have two of them in a couple of boxes and they can compete with many of the recent, +- high-end cards out there atm...Good luck.

you should pick one of these up:

the new ati radeon x850 XT platinum edition, itll only cost you about $600 after tax.

really though, if youre not gaming or anything any 64 mb card released within the past two or three years should suffice, personally i prefer ati over nvidia but it doesnt really matter for you.

Cool guys, thanks alot. It looks like i will be spending between $30.00 and $50.00. Does that sound about right for a 64mb card.

Yeah, it's the graphic card. Happened to me before on my old HP.

P.S. HP's are the worst computers in the entire world.

i totally agree. they make pretty solid printers, but thats as far as id go.
