Yeah, it's the graphic card. Happened to me before on my old HP.

P.S. HP's are the worst computers in the entire world.

my last notebook was an HP and i never had any problems with it until i spilled coke all over it and it quit working. i ended up getting a new HP cuz i got the best specs for the price, maybe i havent had em long enough for them to screw me but they seem ok.

P.S. i wouldnt blame your gfx card going out on HP, they dont make em

my problem with HP has always been their difficulty in being able to upgrade. the ones ive had they made it nearly impossible to switch out parts.
