naa its all about the sharks. where did the kings finish last yr? they didnt even make the playoffs, please. the sharks finished 2nd in the westeren conference so in your face :-)

Mainly I think it compares because its a brutal sport as well but its 7 game series. I've always preferred those over 1 game playoffs because it makes more certain that the better team wins. Also, you get far more epic comebacks. 4th quarter comebacks are wonderful, but 3-0, or 3-1 comebacks trump them all.

I mean, 7 games of guys smashing others into the boards, goalies throwing down at center ice, intense close calls as the puck ricochets off the cross bar, guys shooting as they're being upended, players jumping in front of a slap shot to insure the lead, players scrambling off the ice when they cant even walk thanks to a cheap shot that the ref didn't call because the only thing on there mind is not leaving their team 1 man down.

That's fantastic sports right there, and I'm only thinking about Flyers playoffs right now.
