culpepper trade

Postby captain » Sat Aug 17, 2002 10:40 pm

scenario:
in a keeper league with very few backs (maybe 2 that will finsh in the top twenty) not accounted for. I held onto staley dunn antain smith and tiki barber. I was offered culpepper for barber and my 2nd round pick. ( my picks are 9th and 11th)

should i take the deal

keep in mind that barber and smith have the same bye week and qb's should be plentiful in the first few rounds.

also should i take him in hopes of trading for a top 10 back

help

I would do it...I think Staley and Dunn should have a good year. Smith may not be as productive as last year, but still a good back up. Plus, with some of the rookie RBs available, like Foster/Green/Portis (now that TD is gone) will rise to the occasion and represent.

I like Culpepper, and his offense is starting to look ten times better than last year, and I believe that it will only get better...

Get Culpepper the Randy Ratio will be prominent in the Minnesota offense. Who is your QB now?
