Carson Palmer

I have my first draft tomorrow mainly as a prep for my main draft in september; I just wanted to get back into the groove of things.

How do you think Carson Palmer will do this year? I see good things coming and would be very happy taking him in the 5th-7th round, but I want to double check myself.

Do you think he'll be a top-3 QB?

I think he was ranked pretty well last year due to a late run, but I learned from Koren that late runs don't mean everything in 2003.

Top-10? Maybe.

I say this because he's had one full year to take the duties of Quarterback for the bengals, and has become a better more aware Quarterback. Near the end of last season he was putting up pretty good numbers because he took his game to the next level. With recievers like Chad Johnson, TJ, and Peter Warrick he won't have a problem finding someone to throw the ball to. Also, with the running being quite a success, defenses will have to keep an eye on Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry which will lead to some holes in the field.

I think the best fit for Carson would be Top 20, but if he plays his game right and cuts down on the interceptions..I think this kid could be quite the Quarterback. Definately very valuable in keeper leagues.

He had some really good passer ratings against 3 of the best defenses in the league. How he put up 127.1 on the road against the Ravens and then 110.1 on the road against the Patriots is beyond me. I think Palmer's about to explode into the upper echelon, especially if Housmandzadeh continues to improve and Warrick returns healthy to cover the slot.

He'll sneak into the top 10, maybe even as high as 8. Great value as a surprise starter in a 12 team league.

I picked him off waivers last year and he did well during the playoffs. Better than I expected. Didn't even play him against Baltimore. Should've. I'm hoping to get him as a #1 who could explode around the end of the 7th or beginning of the 8th.

Top 3 would be extremely unlikely.

Top 10 would be very likely. He's one of the best values at QB going out there now. 9th rounder or so.

9th round is about when I've seen him go in 10 team leagues but I've seen him go as low as 11 which is just insane... I think hes got a ton of potential to really explode this season.

Palmer can have great value this year, but dont get OVER-hyped on him and take him before more sure things.
