The Newbie is back!

Postby FF Newbie » Thu Jul 07, 2005 6:11 pm

Okay, so I never really went anywhere--just haven't been posting much lately. Intro Greek is killing me, so I probably won't post much until the season starts, but I do have a quick question for you guys. I've always used Yahoo! free leagues in the past, but I don't like some things about it and was thinking of either upgrading to Plus or switching to a different host. I'm looking for the following features:

1. division play
2. bye week in the playoffs for the division winners
3. live scoring
4. I want all players to be put on waivers from kickoff on Sunday until after MNF. This keeps me from having to lock all the teams and deal with waivers claims all year long.

Are there any FREE sites that offer these 4 features? If not, should I go with Yahoo! Plus or a different pay site? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks guys.

I don't know any free sites that would let you do that.

Welcome back!

The live scoring part is the key. I think all sites require you to pay for this at least all that I've seen (not sure about ESPN's free hosting).

Will allow the first 2 and not sure exactly how wavres work but you can costomize them somewhat.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

You might want to check out Fox/MSN.

It is my understanding they can accomodate all of your requests you listed.

Cornbread Maxwell is right. Fox/MSN provide all those features FREE. Sweet! Anyone tried that yet? I just set up a league so we'll see how it goes.
