O-Line rankings

Postby stomperrob » Fri Jul 15, 2005 10:59 pm

Here's a timely article from nfl.com. With all the focus on which RB's are in the best situation we rarely see complete O-Line rankings. The top ten are:

1) KC
2) Sea
3) Bal
4) Den
5) Min
6) Ind
7) Phi
8) Pit
9) Oak
10) Car

see complete list: http://freemeeting.1.football.nfl.com/news/8647116

Any comments or critiques of this list???

Someone please explain to me how the hell the Colts managed to get such a low score? Being ranked nearly dead last seems a bit much, don't you think?

Footballguys.com wrote:Bottom Line: This unit consists of two exceptional players and then a few question marks. With the loss of veteran guard Rick DeMulling, the combination of Diem, Scott and Lilja hardly inspire with their potential for greatness. Both Saturday and Glenn will keep this unit together and having a weapon such as Manning will mask any problems that may develop but overall, even with DeMulling this is just a decent group that doesn’t have a huge upside. Without DeMulling, expect Manning to face more pressure and the running game to be a little less effective in 2005

Somehow, I just knew someone would post that. :-b

I read that article and comepletely disagree with it. This line has always played extremely well as a unit, not a bunch of individuals. Always have. Diem has already proven to be a strong asset and Glenn/Saturday are studs. I just don't think it justifies such a horrid rating.

This is not a in depth as Cornbread's and i think it might be the same list as the first one posted (nfl.com) because they have the same top 10 but that link wasn't working for me so here it is...
