Remus Lupin - Married to Tonks
Neville Longbottom - Kills Voldemort (or has a serious hand in it)
Draco Malfoy - Azkaban
Professor McGonagall - Dumbledore retires, new headmistress
Harry Potter - Married to Ginny, inherits The Burrow
Severus Snape - cleared, New Minister of Magic
Arthur Weasley - Retires, studies Muggles as a hobby
Ginny Weasley - Marries Harry
Molly Weasley - Follows Arthur and worries

and
Percy Weasley - BIG factor in #7, somehow. Dies or, if he survives, eats crow and HE works for his brothers in the Joke Shop.

Yep. I like it.
Hogwarts in #7 is a done deal - and that's a good way to bring it in.
PLUS ... how's he ever going to be an Auror without his O.W.L.S.!!?

He already got his O-W-L-S

Its his N-E-W-T-S he has been working on. I just wonder who the DOTDA teacher will be next year.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

You're right, of course.
Newts. Toads. Owls. Blast-ended skrewts. It's hard to keep up. :-)
Dark Arts teacher? I'm going a totally new character, as that's, pretty much, been the pattern in the past.

I finished the book awile ago and just saw this thread. Does anyone know why Harry has to go back to the Dursley's house to get protected. I didnt really get why he had to go back into the house does anyone think Lord Voldemort will try to get him there and Harry will be protected and then kill him or something like that?

I think Da Wease is implying that the whole Snape thing was a fake, and that he either was "killing" Dumbledore on the headmaster's orders, or didn't really kill him. In other words, that he's still a solid member of the Order.

Associated Press; July 18, 2005

Rowling said eagle-eyed readers of the current novel (The Half-Blood Prince) would find clues about the next one in the final pages.

She said she had mixed feelings about ending the saga of the boy wizard.

Before she sits down to start the seventh book, Rowling said she would take time off to spend with her 6-month-old daughter Mackenzie.

“I have already done some work on it and I am still doing little bits and pieces, but realistically ... I think probably next year I will do the proper writing of book seven.”
