Is the IR not an option in Yahoo leagues, like baseball has the DL?

I am not 100 %, but I'd assume you can't IR someone until the season starts or just before.

I wouldn't do an injured slot in fantasy football. If someone is placed on the true IR in the NFL they are done for the year. We tried an injured slot one year in a league I am in and it was a joke. There is no way to govern it. If anything just add and extra bench spot for people to stash players.

What on earth would be the point of having someone on IR in a re-draft league? So it would look "Cool"? :-t
