CNBC Fantasy Football Segment w/ NYG

Postby Mercer Boy » Mon Jul 18, 2005 11:42 am

They just had a segment on fantasy football with Eli Manning, Amani Toomer, and Jay Feely.

Of course, Toomer said that people should pick him. I think not. :-t

Eli was lobbying for a high pick...I think I'll pass.

Toomer says Eli is a sleeper. He has that right...you never know, but he's not someone I'm really targeting.

I was hoping they would talk a little bit more about the game, but you can only get so much with the players and the high-falutin CNBC stock people.

Example - the woman who interviewed them said that she won her league last year with Brent Favre as her QB. :-?

Thanks - but I'll wait until Kramer dedicates his show to fantasy football buys and sells. ;-D :-b

WOW...I'm sure the producer was in here ear after that.

"Hey sugarlips...it's Brett".

I would have loved the chance to give that interview.

"So Amani. The over/under on touchdowns scored for you is ONE this year. Care to comment?"

Apart from posting the stats of every relevant fantasy player I would prefer if TV didn't screw up fantasy football. I'm pretty sure I saw Warren Moon take Favre in the 1st round of a fantasy draft on TV last year.

He did, Moon just couldn't pass up on Brent Favre. :-b Those shows are for entertainment purposes only. When there's a need for entertainment and information we hit the Cafe. ;-D
