Backup TE: Crumpler or Miller?

Postby inferno19 » Fri Aug 22, 2003 7:57 pm

Hey guys,

I'm part of an 8-team league, and in my draft, I didnt draft my TEs too strong. I grabbed Marcus Pollard in the 11th round of 15 rounds, hoping for a resurgence. Then I thought I would pick up a strong backup TE off Free Agency. So I grabbed Crumpler (this was before Vick's injury).

After the Vick injury, I dropped Crumpler and picked up Billy Miller. But tonight I'm seeing that Crumpler's doing pretty well with Doug Johnson, and catching good passes.

However, my league only allows 20 players max. on a roster, so which one should I take, and I'm currently at the maximum with Miller.

Here are my lower players at each position...are any droppable?
QB: K. Collins, B. Johnson
RB: Canidate, Stewart
WR: Reed, Rogers
D: Pittsburgh

I have Miller myself, but I think Crumpler will be the nest great TE. If he can establish himself with Johnson at QB, Vick will probably use him as a dump off receiver, especially if Reeves tries to keep Vick from running so much.

I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

I'd go with Crumpler. I looked like in tonight's game against the Fins, that Johnson and Crumpler had some chemistry, I think Alge caught 4 passes for 40 something yards, (in limited action)
